My Booshy weekend!
We went to Transmission at the weekend and ended up sharing a dressing room with the boosh! We got to meet & chat to Julian, Dave and Rich and had a great time!

9:51AM - The Boosh is loose and we're a little bit raw!!!!

Well, i finally bit the bullet and had my hair cut. Just got back from the salon, its faboo!!! Shoulder length, choppy layers & a fringe!

I love it!

12:54PM - Mmmmm bread!

I woke up to the smell of freshly baked bread this morning! I finally figured out how to set the timer on the breadmaker! Go me!

Last weekend was absolutely amaaaazing! Unmata are summat else, i can tell ya. Those girls work so hard. Each workshop was crammed with fab combos, which we had to do at half, then full speed (which is no mean feat when you see the combinations!) we did some Hula, leant that there is no such thing as Hula fusion, as Hula is a religeon, so it would be extrememly blasphemous, but, lucky for us, there is bellydance fusion, so some elements can still be used.

Amy explained that a lot of hula moments are a bit like loose bellydance moves, kinda like how you try to do a move when you first start learning. So, Rosie, that's why, when you saw them on the dvd, you had that initial reaction, you saw the looseness but od course, we didn't know that that was what the hula style entailed! Ah, there is a reason for everything!

I feel all zen now.

All things are transient and all that really matters as we live out our lives on the tumbling piece of rock falling endlessly through space is that we share eternal love and harmony in the universe.

Sorry, I ended up channelling Russel Brand for a mnute there, must be withdrawal cos of stoopid Urovision!

Anyway, the girls' performance totally rocked the house, hopefully i may get it on dvd if i am a lucky ducky. They also said that they liked my cyber style! Yay! Go me! (that's 2-0 world! Ha! In your face! No, hold on, that's not very zen is it. Ooommmmmmmmm.....)

Yes, so a fab weekend was had by all, the Khalgani girlies got to show off their new fusion stuff, which was great, and as they'd danced it in front of 6 thousand people the previous weekend, they weren't nervous about showing it to a room full of dancers. Bonus!

I made some more friends, which is always good, and may be getting booked to teach in Germany! Aha, I knew all the german swear words I learned from Heike would come in handy in the end!

I still have no car, but we are off to the car auctions later to see if we can get a bargain. We nearly got an Audi A3 a few days ago, but then realised that it was a bit knackered. Oh, Shame.

Well, thats about it for now. I'm currently sorting out Geneva's workshop on the 3rd June, its gonna rock so Rosie n Sam, you have to come!!! No Excuses!!!

Plus i now have a new phone, its totally jam! All orange n black!!!

In other news, I really need to buy a decent car asap, like now!

Voting starts in June, finally got the fields set and my head has nearly combusted.
This shizzo is getting harder with each passing year.

CHANGES:
The Oasis of Color & Troupe Oasis fields has expanded from 32 to 48 for 2007, therefore in the Round 1 for June, 8 bellydancers/troupes will advance in all 3 oasis fields.
You'll also notice that youTune and MySpace will play an important role as sites for certain dancers for the 1st time as well, any page is as good a page as far as web presence, giving it a try

Penny just ate a whole loaf overnight, so the breadmaker has come out of hiding. Hopefully both it and the indredients i just chucked in will acheive hovisy goodness.

10:06AM - Still ill

I just had to call and cancel two of my classes today, there no way i'm up to 6 hours of teaching/dancing. I went to class last night and thought i was gonna pass out n throw up similaneously. Not of the good. I also managed to pull/twist my left deltoid whilst doing crazy gypsy arm  moves! I'm putting this down to feeling generally weak, what with the body trying to fight the stoopid lurgy an all, not my incompetance. No siree!

Last nights PBR was fantasic! Really exciting with some top rank bulls! Unfortunately, Wiley Peterson is a div an let go of his rope early so he fell off. No cartwheels for him today. Dumbass!

I still have to go later and teach two classes, they've already had 3 classes cancelled this term and its not fair on them, plus i have to get to the end of two choreographies wiv em.

The boots of hell arrived today!!!! They're lovely! Not as white as i thought, and they smell all rubbery. Nice!

Also got more flyers for the gothla as they seem to going like hotcakes. Probably the superfab artwork!

Once of my students is a heavy goth and is clubbing etc every weekend, she's really supporting us and will be distributing flyers everywhere she goes, plus passing more onto friends going elsewhere, outside of her area.

11:41AM - *sniff*

I feel awful. Started coming down with the mighty sniffles yesterday on the way over to moms. Sitting in a room full of smoke obviously hasn't helped, neither has the darn Frist Defense i bought.

Warning: Do not use this stuff unless you are being raped and its on the offender. Its bloody lethal. Two hours it took for my sinuses to stop burning! Next time i'll just cut to the chase an stick a bloody firework up me nose.

So yeah, unwell, can't breath, have a tension headache in my jaw (how does that work?) an generally feelin crappy.

I have to motivate myself to finish the tribal/bollywood veil choreography for tomorrows class :( I guess i'll be okay once i get started. Its very inspiring.

On a postive note, things are getting closer to being confirmed for Infest. Apparently, the organiser were impressed by me. lol

Crazy Chrissy has just called to ask if her an Kay can stay over this friday, should be a laugh. Poor old Bruno probalbly wont think so!

Anyhow, signing off as i need more tea and to mope a bit more.
